Our services
In Strings & Roots we offer music lessons tailored to nurture the musicality in every child since a very young age. You can choose between group classes for Parents and Toddlers, Early Years Music and Movement for children 3-6 years old and Violin Tuition for children over 6 years old.
We offer violin lessons for children over 6 years old in an individual or group format. Wether you prefer tuition with a classical and academic perspective or learning at your own pace including modern and folk music, we will adapt to each student's needs.
Adult classes are also available, don’t hesitate to ask (it’s never too late to learn!)
To nurture musicality since the youngest stages of life, we base our Parents & Toddlers classses in The Music Learning Theory (MLT) by Dr. Edwin Gordon. Most traditional music lessons focus on "doing", our programme is based on Audiation.
Just as a child learns to speak by being immersed in language before they learn to read, we immerse children in a rich musical environment so they can "speak" music fluently.
Our early years program is tailored to start developing musicality from the very beginning of a child’s life. Through movement and play, we base our early childhood teaching on well-documented pedagogical methods such as Dalcroze Eurythmics and Gordon's MLT.
